The Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), at the University of Sussex, England, was founded in 1966. It is thus one of the oldest research institutions in its field. Its central research emphases include science and technology policy. In addition, SPRU offers a number of master's degree and doctor's degree programmes, including programmes in the fields of science and technology policy and technology and innovation management.
