Institutes abroad
Research on higher education and science has become an important field worldwide, and its importance continues to grow. The focuses of such research, and the degree to which it has become institutionalised, differ widely from country to country, however.
This space regularly presents portraits of different research institutes, to highlight the emphases and strengths of institutes in many different countries.
Institutes are selected for such presentation on the basis of proposals of BMBF project managers, the advisory board for research on higher education and science (WiHo-Beirat), or other scientists and researchers.
