INGENIO is a joint research institute of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Polytechnic University of Valencia. The institute's researchers study processes that generate knowledge, the ways in which innovation processes are organised, and strategies for evaluation of science and science policy. In doing so, they consider perspectives and findings from a diverse range of disciplines and topic areas, working in informally structured research groups. In addition to pursuing research, the institute also offers continuing education and teaching programmes and transfer and advising services.
